As a Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x), you will work within a cross-functional agile team to ensure the successful development of our fast-growing product. You will take ownership of developing new features and improving our current architecture and will also contribute to an engineering culture where developers enjoy growing and keep learning.

What you'll do here at Sharpist

Within 1 month, you will…

• Have a successful onboarding and get to know your key stakeholders from marketing, sales, business development, revenue operations, customer success and design
• Understand the core value Sharpist provides to business customers and learners

• Have delivered your first feature

• Be familiar with our product and team practices.

• Taking part in reviewing pull requests

Within 1 quarter, you will…

• Feel confident working within the codebase: extending, refactoring and improving existing code, fixing bugs

• Take ownership of the delivery of more complicated product features.

Within 1 year, you will…

• Improve and evolve the current architecture. Adapt and introduce adequate design patterns and best security practices to our Backend.

• Mentor junior developers

• Several years of overall experience in backend development

• A few years of experience in Node, TypeScript, Ecosystem

• Experience in GraphQL

• Mongo DB experience

• Good understanding of best practices and various design patterns

• Experience owning the complete development cycle of a product

• Experience in coaching juniors

• Fluent English

• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
