What you'll do here at Sharpist

Within 1 quarter you will…

  • Audit and analyze the security status company-wide

  • Create a security plan

  • Prioritize and begin improving security practices

Within 1 year you will…

  • Have established secure practices across the organization

  • Be regularly conducting security awareness trainings and exercises

  • Have established security practices within the engineering team

And then, what's next?

  • Build a security team to go deeper in all areas of security

  • Bring automation and advanced security tools to all parts of the organization

  • Develop and propagate a security mindset throughout the organization

Job requirements

We believe you'll be successful if you are this type of person

  • Strength written and spoken communication skills in the interaction with staff and external stakeholders as well as throughout incident management

  • Your resilience and ability to handle high-pressure times will keep you calm and focused on solutions. The startup thing gives you energy.

  • Your high level of integrity and trustworthiness is acknowledged by various different stakeholders

  • Ability to lead others and build up a team that is united by common goals, trust, and a collaborative mindset

  • Ability to create and deliver effective security trainings

  • Seasoned security engineer with experience in the following areas:
    • Identification of security threats
    • Development of appropriate protection measures

    • Deployment and usage code analysis tools

    • Deployment and management intrusion detection systems (IDS)

    • Audit and teaching of secure coding practices

    • Security investigations

  • Knowledge in:
    • Routing protocols, subnetting, and encryption techniques and protocols
    • Database platforms

    • Python, SQL, shell scripting or similar tools

  • Relevant cyber security certifications are a plus
