As our Team Lead Accounting and Finance (f/m/x), you will be responsible for the strongest channel driving the pipeline - from defining to implementing Sharpist’s B2B event strategy, both for external events and organizing inspiring internal events.

What you'll do here at Sharpist

Within 1 month, you will...

• Have a successful onboarding and get to know your key stakeholders from marketing, sales, business development, revenue operations, customer success and design
• Understand the core value Sharpist provides to business customers and learners
• Get an overview of our processes, get to know our customers and suppliers and take on the preparatory bookkeeping
• Become the main contact person internally and externally for all accountancy, book-keeping and tax topics.

Within 1 quarter, you will…

• Independently take over the entire accounts payable and accounts receivable and take over the communication with our tax consultants & external accounting department
  
• You will create a successful collaboration with Controlling (insights & reports), Coach Experience (to ensure our coaches are paid), Business Intelligence (tracking receivables), and Legal & Sales (payment terms for our customers)
  
• Start driving the continuous improvement and professionalization of accounting on your own initiative, through new processes & systems 

Within 1 year, you will…

• Take over the project management for our annual financial statements

• Independently introduce new processes and tools to constantly improve our accounting and keep it up to date

• Create monthly and annual consolidated financial statements independently and in cooperation with our external accounting department.

• Have taken an active role in our internal OKR planning process

• Build and lead your own team when the time is right

• Very hands-on with project and process implementation

These hard facts will get us excited to get to know you better 

• A degree/other qualification in the field of management or financial accounting
• Experienced all-rounder Accountant who has strong experience in all aspects of Accounts Payable, Receivable and month-end reporting

• Experienced user of DATEV

• Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB/Handelsgesetzbuch) as well as basic know-how of IFRS

• Designed and rolled out the introduction of new processes and/or systems

• You have a strong vision for what a best-in-class Accounting and Finance team looks like in terms of processes, information flows and tools

• Experience in dealing with ERP systems (SAP) and the corresponding consolidation software SAP SEM is an advantage

• Fluent in German and English 

• You are familiar with working in a young, fast-growing company
